Kim Whittingham trained at Sussex University specialising in graphic design and illustration. Kim spent many years working as a commercial artist in advertising then as a book illustrator with a major New York publisher.
Since 2003 Kim has worked as a water colour artist and illustrator. She specialises in house and business portraits and commercial commissions. Her work can be seen on the walls of many prestigious houses and buildings around Britain and throughout the world.
Kim likes to experiment with vibrant use of water colour and uses an unusual fish-eye perspective in her work.
She has shown her work at many exhibitions and fayres over the years and her numerous images can now be seen on printed scarves from Venice, Bone China mugs and greetings cards.
Currently Kim is working on children’s book illustrations with two local authors as well as writing and illustrating her own books about her two dogs.
She is also about to embark upon a new series of original works depicting various industries through intricate collages in watercolour. This idea has been inspired by a commission from the Old Cannon Brewery in Bury St Edmunds.
